Pretentious Poetry Corner

I’d like to say I’m going to make this a regular feature on my blog, but I can’t.  My brain doesn’t work that way.  Sometimes things just pop into my head, other times — nothing.  Feel free to share your own pretentious poetry.  You can E. Mail me and I’ll post it with your name and link to your blog.

Or you could skip that and post it to your own blog I guess.  Whatever works for you.

So, without further fanfare, may I present my first, and maybe last, Pretentious Poetry Corner:

Walking By a Store Window

or

Reflections on a Reflection

Tousled tresses,

Oh errant hair!

‘Twas not I

Who put thee there.

Mousse and gel,

And style and tease;

Yet still thou goest

Where ‘ere thou please.

And George, if you’re out there, Tewt the Newt is glad he doesn’t have hair.
