I know Primary Program doesn’t sound nearly as exotic or difficult as some of those remote locations they pick for the television show, but seriously? It’s about all the extra challenge I need right now. But it’s done, the kids were fantastic, brought tears to my eyes on several occasions, and I survived my baptism by fire, as it were, into my calling as Primary President.
Of course, sharing time/singing time was another thing altogether (apologies to my non LDS readers who have no idea what I’m talking about – basically, after the main service, the kids go to their classes and then they come to the primary room for singing and doing some more fun, interactive stuff (three hour church, people) – and for my LDS readers: yes, we have junior and senior primary all together, because our primary is small).
Good grief. What was I saying? Oh yes, sharing time today. Have you all read Lord of the Flies? We were just a wild boar and a sharp stick away.
And George, if you’re out there, Tewt the Newt is going to take a nap.
