Surf’s Up

Duuuuuuuuudes, not only is the water in my yard not receding?  Check it:

surf's up

So grab your boards and your (thermal) bikinis and come hang ten in my yard.  Gnarly.

Notice I took the shot through the trampoline to prove that, yes, this is actually my yard.  Plus?  It just wound up being the best shot.

  1. I’ll bring my board and hang 10 with ya! Do you think my ironing board will work? And there’s no way I’m coming in a bikini…not even for you, my dear! 🙂

  2. Whoa – that is looking a tad bit crazy now – as in a bit scary. Looks like really fun water to surf in – nice and warm and clean… (ok fine, as if ocean water is clean, but still)

  3. I think there are some white caps in your back yard. That’s just crazy. It’s great that you’re keeping a good attitude, though. Oh, and also good is that you have big dogs (small dogs might drown going potty!) :). I bet that Newfie would totally go for a swim in the frigid water!

  4. OK, the insurance person in my feels the need to point out that your homeowners policy will NOT cover you if that comes in your house. I would very seriously consider flood insurance if I were you.

  5. You apparently live due east of me (or did it move NE?) because that is what my neighborhood looked like this morning. I can’t remember the last time I saw white caps in an open field. I hope you saved the trees…

  6. Wow – that does not look fun…but at least everyone is safe. I do hope that you were able to save the trees from the previous post.

  7. Wow. After reading your last two posts I think I’ll be grateful for the simple snow we have here. I hope the water doesn’t come any closer to your house!

Ya gotta love the Tender Mercies of the Lord, eh? I think He knew you would need a different sump pump.
